Lodge Meeting Dates

The regular meetings of the Lodge are held four times a year – the first Monday in November; the third Wednesday in January; the third Tuesday in March and the fourth Tuesday in May (Installation Meeting).

The administrative year for the Lodge, with respect to subscriptions and reporting, begins on 1 April. Officers of the Lodge are installed at the May meeting which is therefore the start of the Friars’ Lodge Masonic year.

Lodge of Instruction (LoI) is where masonic ritual is learned in a warm, informal atmosphere, stimulated by a wee dram – or two! It is conducted by a Preceptor and his Deputy, both senior members of Lodge. In addition to the Officers of the Lodge for the year, all members of Friars’ Lodge are warmly invited to attend. LoI is held on Tuesday evenings, usually between 6.30pm and 8.00pm. Details of the dates and location of LoI meetings are available from the Secretary (see Contacts).
