Why join

Freemasonry is a secular society based on four things. First and foremost, one must have a belief in a supreme being. To this are added three core principles – referred to in our ceremonies as brotherly love, relief and truth but expressed in more modern terms as being a good neighbour, charity and moral standards. Should you consider joining our Brotherhood, you must be willing to pursue and adhere to these principles. Freemasonry is about sharing a common desire for charitable support and following a high moral code.

Freemasonry is open to men of any race, religion, political belief and status. It welcomes all law-abiding males, having no civil or criminal convictions, who have achieved the age of 21 and feel a responsibility to contribute to the well-being and maintenance of well-organised society.
